Kim Nguyen Pierce, PhD
Dr. Kim Nguyen Pierce is a California licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY #17774) with over twenty years of experience providing evidence based treatment interventions to high achieving adults and their children presenting with an array of mood, anxiety, stress and relationship issues. She has also worked with personnel from the US Postal Services, Police and Fire Department providing third party evaluations for fitness for duty and return to work assessments/recommendations. Dr. Pierce has also provided consultation and collaboration with major initiatives throughout the state of California to promote systems transformation, related to program/policy/workforce development, and public education. Dr. Pierce is bi-cultural Vietnamese American and incorporates multicultural awareness and culture-specific knowledge/skills in resource development and change management. She has trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles working with birth to five-year-old clients and their families. She completed a one year Geropsychology training program at Martin Luther King Hospital in Los Angeles providing group therapy, assessments, and short term individual therapy with older adult clients from all walks of life and transitional periods. Dr. Pierce studied at the University of Southern California with degrees in Psychology and Gerontology. She earned her Masters and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.
